Don’t expect miracles

Don’t expect miracles

Welcome

This is the first page of my first blog, so I hope you’ll forgive any rough edges along the way.

I absolutely love to write and have done so right back when I discovered the power of the pen, I actually think they used quills in those days, a dead giveaway as to my age.

The thrill I get when I am driving a pen, the power you experience while you are creating. You and only you can decide the direction the storyline is going to go. I immerse myself in my own story, much like one gets when picking up a good book, where you identify with the main protagonist.

My first experience of this was when I was given a copy of a Wilbur Smith book “When the lion feeds” (By my sister-in-law) I was absolutely captivated by it, the book drew me in and I think I might have even got sunburnt,

Transported through time and to another realm. I was going to say and never I looked back, but that’s not true, because as I inevitably went through every book he had written, I caught up with all that this master of the written word had written, so whilst awaiting his next work,

I went back and re-read his earlier books. A big thank you, Mr. Smith. You were truly my inspiration and my motivation; I owe my desire to write to you with the love you put into your books.
